In May, 2019, 41 new emergency medical pre-hospital care providers join the ranks of the”largest all volunteer based EMS system in the United States.”
Our new group of volunteers come from all walks of life, stay at home moms & dads, military, blue collar, white collar and college students.
They join for different reasons, some to gain field experience and reach out to find employment as first responders. Others, looking to enter medical school and many just to give back to the community.
Virginia Beach residency is not required and many of our volunteers come from across the Hampton Roads area.
EMT training is free. You, too, can join the Volunteer Rescue Squads of Virginia Beach and help save lives.
