Meet Kempsville Rescue Squad Baby Boomer Volunteer EMT Charles “Pat” Boyd

“A transplant from Klamoth Falls, Oregon, Charles “Pat” Boyd, came to Virginia Beach in 1978 with the Navy and now calls this great city home. Pat has since retired as an Aircraft Technician from the Navy and Northrop Grumman. He thought it would be interesting to volunteer with the Kempsville Rescue Squad and fell in love with helping people. Pat has spent the last 4 1/2 years with us, most currently as an EMT-A.

Pat has been married to his wife, Carol, for 47 years and has 2 children and 3 grandchildren. When he is not helping his community, Pat enjoys boating, fishing and cruising. An interesting fact about Pat is that he has an Associates of Science Degree in Environmental Protection!”

If you see Pat out and about while he’s on a shift please be sure to say “Hello!”

Thank you Kempsville Rescue Squad for allowing LivesNeedSaving.org to share Pat’s story.
