Robin has served with the Plaza Volunteer Rescue Squad for 11 years and presently holds life membership.
Robin credits the intensive emergency medical pre-hospital care training she received with allowing her to remain calm when her first grandson at two weeks of age stopped breathing and she stepped in and acted quickly to save his life.
Robin first found out about the Volunteer Rescue Squads of Virginia Beach when a rescue squad friend persuaded her to do a ride along and she was hooked.
You too, can do a ride along with one of the volunteer rescue squads to get a first hand look at the people who make up the “largest all volunteer based EMS system in the United States.”
