Recently the Navy Mid Atlantic Regional Fire Department, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach Fire Departments along with the Volunteer Rescue Squads of Virginia Beach and Sentara Nightingale Air Ambulance responded to a simulated jet crash along the Chesapeake Virginia Beach city line.
The goal of the regional drill is to develop and exercise coordination efforts between first responders of the two cities and the U.S. Navy when a reported military aircraft has crashed off a military reservation.
